Historic Election: Brahim Houla Becomes First Arab and African President of Glopac
During the general assembly held in Thailand, Brahim Houla was elected as the president of the Global Accreditation Cooperation (Glopac), becoming the first Arab and African to lead this international organization. Glopac, which will officially come into existence on January 1, 2026, will replace two major global bodies: the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). This merger aims to strengthen international cooperation in the field of conformity assessment and accreditation. Formerly a key figure at the Tunisian National Accreditation Council (Tunac), Brahim Houla has worked tirelessly to promote international quality standards and global recognition of certifications. His election marks a historic milestone for Tunisia and the African continent.
