Anis Zayana Appointed General Manager of Historic Hotel in Uganda
New Chapter in International Career
Anis Zayana, currently General Manager of The Residence Douz by Cenizaro, is embarking on a new chapter in his international career. He has been appointed General Manager of a historic hotel in Entebbe, Uganda, located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The hotel, which dates back to 1948, is situated 4 kilometers from the airport and 34 km from the city of Kampala. It is now partially owned by Libyan investors.

Award-Winning Career
Anis Zayana was recently distinguished as the best hotel General Manager in Tunisia at the Golden Tree Awards 2026, held in Dubai. The new hotel he will be managing in Uganda is an iconic establishment that has been in operation since 1948 and is part of the country's hotel heritage. As General Manager, Anis Zayana aims to continue this legacy while improving the customer experience and service quality. He considers Uganda an inspiring country for this new mission.
Professional Background
Born in Germany in 1973, Anis Zayana holds a degree in reception obtained in 1996 and is also a Certified Hotel Administrator, a certification he received in 2018. His professional career began in Tunisia and has since expanded internationally. Before joining The Residence Douz by Cenizaro, he managed Les Oliviers Palace from 2019. Between 2016 and 2019, he was General Manager of the Golden Yasmin Ras El Ain in southwestern Tunisia.
International Experience
Anis Zayana has also worked in Algeria from 2013 to 2016, where he managed the Oasis Alger and Golden Tulip ADEF Oran hotels. With this new appointment, Anis Zayana continues his international career in the hotel industry, bringing his expertise and experience to a new and exciting challenge in Uganda.
