Tunisia's Dam Fill Rate Reaches 36.5% as of April 16, 2025
According to the latest data published by the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI), Tunisia's overall dam fill rate stood at 36.5% as of April 16, 2025.
Water Reserves Increase by 4%
The country's water reserves have reached 865.3 million cubic meters, marking a 4% increase compared to the 832.8 million cubic meters recorded on the same date in 2024.
Regional Variations in Dam Fill Rates
Dams located in the northern part of the country have a high fill rate, reaching 90.4%, with an estimated water volume of 782.4 million cubic meters. In contrast, dams in the center and Cap-Bon regions have significantly lower fill rates, at 7.3% (62.8 million cubic meters) and 2.3% (20.1 million cubic meters), respectively.
Water Inflows Decrease by 53.2%
Between September 1, 2024, and April 16, 2025, water inflows have reached 737.8 million cubic meters, representing a 53.2% decrease compared to the seasonal average of 1,576.5 million cubic meters.
Daily Water Inflows Distribution
For the single day of April 16, the distribution of water inflows is dominated by dams in the north (89.7%), followed by those in the center (7.3%) and Cap-Bon (3%).
