Minister of Transport Emphasizes Strategic Importance of Enfidha Deep-Sea Port and Logistics Platform
On March 12, 2025, the Minister of Transport, Rachid Amri, chaired a meeting to discuss the steps to be taken to accelerate the implementation of the Enfidha deep-sea port and logistics platform. He stressed the strategic importance of this project for Tunisia, highlighting its economic and social impact while ensuring national sovereignty. He also emphasized the need to respect international standards in terms of security, environment, and quality in the field of maritime transport.
This modern port aims to reinforce Tunisia's geographical position as a regional hub and gateway to Africa. It will be a crucial lever to improve the country's competitiveness in synergy with other commercial ports. Thanks to its advanced infrastructure, it will contribute to optimizing port management and increasing the region's logistical attractiveness.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of preparing a detailed dossier gathering essential land and regulatory measures to ensure a smooth execution of the project. He insisted on respecting the established timeline and coordinating with all stakeholders to guarantee the successful completion of the works.
