National Council of Regions and Districts Adopts 2025 Finance Bill
The National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) adopted the 2025 Finance Bill (PLF) in its entirety on December 4, with 65 votes in favor, 8 against, and 4 abstentions. This decision comes after a series of discussions that began on December 3, 2024, and a plenary session chaired by Imed Derbali, in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Sihem Nemsia.
The PLF 2025 had already been validated on Monday, December 2, 2024, by the Assembly of the People's Representatives (ARP). During this vote, the project received 87 favorable votes, against 21 oppositions and 13 abstentions, marking a key step in the legislative process.
This dual adoption by the ARP and CNRD reflects a relative consensus around the major economic and budgetary orientations for the coming year, despite the expression of divergent opinions during the debates.
The project, which aims to support the government's economic and social priorities, is now entering its final implementation phase. The next steps will include the publication of application decrees and the monitoring of the implementation of the measures provided for by this finance law.
