Minister of Transport Inspects Tunis-Carthage Airport Terminal 2 Ahead of Umrah and Hajj Seasons
On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Minister of Transport Rachid Ameri visited Terminal 2 of Tunis-Carthage International Airport to inspect its operations and approved several measures related to the preparation for the Umrah and Hajj seasons. The most important measure consists of dedicating Terminal 2 exclusively to Umrah and Hajj flights, while other commercial flights will be transferred to the main terminal of Tunis-Carthage Airport, with all necessary conditions in place to welcome passengers in the best possible conditions, according to a statement published on Tunisair's official page.
Mr. Ameri emphasized the importance of paying particular attention to Umrah and Hajj travelers, given their moral and material specificities. He stressed the need for exceptional and qualitative preparation from all parties involved in the airport, both commercially and logistically, to ensure optimal comfort conditions for these travelers and to guarantee the smooth flow of their movements, particularly during the return phase from the Holy Sites. He also highlighted the reduction of waiting times for travelers, so they can exit and receive their luggage as quickly as possible.
