Ministry of Commerce and Export Development Reminds Cold Storage and Fruit and Vegetable Depot Owners of Their Obligations

The Ministry of Commerce and Export Development is reminding cold storage and fruit and vegetable depot owners of their obligations regarding stock regulation and transparency to ensure a smooth supply of markets.

Registration and Daily Updates

Managers must first register on the digital platform for depots, accessible via frigos.commerce.gov.tn, and update their stock information daily.

Regular Supply of Markets

In parallel, they are required to supply wholesale markets daily with regular quantities of fruits and vegetables, while avoiding excessive stockpiling that could disrupt supply, especially for scarce products.

Stock Distribution Program

A stock distribution program must be submitted to the regional directorates of the concerned ministry, detailing the types of available products.

No Illegal Intermediaries

Businesses are also requested not to use illegal intermediaries for transactions in distribution circuits, particularly on wholesale markets.

Invoicing and Delivery

For each sale, invoices or delivery receipts must be issued, containing mandatory information such as tax identifiers, merchandise destination, and transporter coordinates.

Reporting Difficulties

In case of difficulties in applying these measures, the ministry invites operators to quickly report any obstacles.

Warning: Illegal Stockpiling

The ministry warns that any unjustified reduction of quantities destined for wholesale markets is considered illegal stockpiling and exposes offenders to sanctions in accordance with current legislation.
