Ministry of Commerce Calls on Farmers and Breeders to Ensure Smooth Transactions during Eid al-Adha 2025

To ensure the smooth conduct of transactions during Eid al-Adha 2025, the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development is calling on farmers and breeders to provide organized sales spaces for sacrifices and establish direct access, while avoiding intermediaries and speculators.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce indicated that to facilitate their movement and prove their identities, farmers and breeders can present professional cards or request them from regional agricultural departments or relevant professional structures. They can also obtain certificates to facilitate their activity during this period.

The Ministry is inviting professionals to engage in weight-based sales operations to ensure transparency in transactions and respect for the specified reference prices (21,900 kg). It is also calling on citizens to provide a balance with organized spaces and points of sale to protect their purchasing rights and preserve their purchasing power.

On the other hand, as part of adjusting the market supply, the Ministry announced that "Ellouhoum" company will supply significant quantities of lamb and beef, which will be distributed by butchers and large commercial spaces at maximum prices for the public that do not exceed:

  • 38,900 kg for lamb
  • 37,900 kg of beef
  • 34 kg Jumana beef
  • 28,300 kg of beef ribs

On the condition that the reference prices of the meat company for the benefit of butchers are within the range of (35,900 kg) for lamb and (28,300 kg) for cows, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
