Morocco Sets Historical Record in Tourism for the First Eight Months of 2024
Morocco has achieved a historical record in tourism for the first eight months of 2024, welcoming 11.8 million visitors.
Just in July and August, the North African country received 4.4 million tourists, representing a 21% increase compared to the same season last year.
Tourism revenue in foreign currencies reached a peak in August, amounting to approximately $1.74 billion, or 17 billion dirhams.
According to Morocco's Ministry of Tourism, this increase represents nearly 20% compared to August 2023, establishing a new monthly record.
The positive trend is confirmed for the entire year, with a 7% increase in cumulative revenue, reaching $7.80 billion during the first eight months of 2024.
