French Insurtech Neat Partners with Visa to Revolutionize Card-Linked Insurance
The French insurtech startup Neat, specialized in digital insurance solutions and founded in 2022, has officially announced a strategic partnership with American payment giant Visa. This collaboration aims to transform the insurance associated with bank cards, as reported by several economic media outlets, including L'Agefi and Maddyness, on April 13, 2026.
Key Innovation
The central innovation lies in the shift from a traditional model, often deemed complex and unclear due to bank management, to an embedded and intelligent system directly linked to the bank card. This new device aims to simplify the entire user journey, including:
- Digitalized claims declarations
- Reduced processing times
- Improved readability of coverage
Enhanced Insurance Features
Thanks to this partnership, Visa cardholders will also benefit from advanced insurance features, including:
- Enhanced transparency of guarantees
- Simplified procedures
- The possibility to personalize their protections according to their needs
This personalization relies on data exploitation and artificial intelligence, allowing for tailored offers to user profiles.
Deployment and Objectives
The program will first be deployed in France, within the existing insurance ecosystem integrated into Visa cards, covering over 25 million cardholders. It will then be gradually extended to other European markets. The stated objective is to transform the insurance experience of bank cards by offering more fluid, rapid, and entirely digital services, combining daily protection and improved coverage-to-price ratio.
Neat's Technology and Expansion
According to several sources, Neat's technology is already used by major players such as SNCF, Pierre & Vacances, Center Parcs, Leboncoin, Cdiscount, and Decathlon. Present in eight countries, the startup raised 50 million euros in 2024 to accelerate its international expansion and strengthen its development.
