Fintech Challenge Returns with a $50,000 Prize for the Winner
The Fintech Challenge is back for a new edition, offering a $50,000 prize to the winner. Organized by the pan-African financial services group Ecobank, this competition is open to all African fintech startups, whether they are in the startup phase or already established. The goal is to boost the pan-African ecosystem and promote innovation in the financial sector, while encouraging financial inclusion across the continent.
Applications for this 7th edition are now open to fintechs and developers from across Africa, as well as global fintechs focused on Africa. With a vast network covering 35 African countries, the bank is well-positioned to support fintech innovation.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 2024. Winners will have the opportunity to join the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship program, with the grand winner receiving a cash prize of $50,000. Notably, since its launch, 60 fintech startups have been integrated into the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship.
