2024 Francophonie Days in Tunisia: "Festival du Film Francophone" Event

The 2024 Francophonie Days in Tunisia are being extended with the "Festival du Film Francophone" event, taking place in Tunis from June 3 to 15 and in Sousse from June 5 to 19. A must-attend event for fans of French-language cinema!

Celebrating French-language cultural creation, its diversity, and the ambition to support its dissemination to a wide audience are crucial challenges for the future of the French language. This is why the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) has chosen the theme "Create, Innovate, and Undertake in French" for the next Francophonie Summit, to be held in Villers-Cotterêts in October 2024. A key event of the Francophonie Days in Tunisia, the Festival du Film Francophone aims to offer French-speaking and Francophile audiences a rich program showcasing the dynamism and creative potential of the French-speaking world.

Organized at the initiative of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors (GAF), with coordination provided by the Wallonia-Brussels Delegation in Tunisia, the event will take place at the French Institute of Tunisia from June 3 to 15 and at the French Institute of Sousse from June 5 to 19, for its regional edition.

In total, around 20 films (short and feature-length films, animated films, and documentaries) proposed by the OIF and 15 other GAF member embassies - Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Egypt, France, Gabon, Greece, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Wallonia-Brussels, and Tunisia - will be screened.

These films, which will quench your thirst for the 7th art, tackle universal themes such as love, friendship, and commitment to a better future, while also addressing current issues like women's rights and climate change. An event that will resonate with the diverse voices and accents of the Francophone community, united around common themes. We look forward to seeing you there! And don't forget, admission is free and open to all!
