Cepex Launches "Start Export by Cepex" Program to Boost Tunisian Exports
The Center for Export Promotion (Cepex) has taken a new step forward with the launch of "Start Export by Cepex", a program designed to transform the approach of Tunisian companies to international trade. According to Cepex CEO, Mourad Ben Hassine, export should no longer be seen as a one-time opportunity, but rather as part of a strategic vision. Companies must anticipate, organize, and structure their approach in the long term.
New Approach to Export Promotion
In this context, Cepex is revising its intervention method, now prioritizing targeted and operational support. Eight advisors have been trained according to international standards, in collaboration with the Hauts-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry. These experts will work directly with companies to guide them at every step.
Targeted Support for High-Potential Companies
The program is primarily aimed at first-time exporters and companies with high potential. Ten companies have been selected after a rigorous selection process. They will follow an eight-month course to build their strategy, explore new markets, and secure their first international sales.
Four-Phase Program
The program is based on four phases:
- Situation analysis: identifying the company's strengths and weaknesses
- Strategy organization: developing a tailored export strategy
- Collaborative work: providing coaching and support to implement the strategy
- Deployment: supporting companies in their international deployment
Partnership and Funding
The project is supported by the "Qawafel" program, which is funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and implemented by Expertise France. Mazen Al Kassem, a key expert in the project, highlights that this initiative was made possible thanks to the support of French cooperation. The program brings together several partners, including the Banking and Financial Council, Cotunace, and the Tunisian Customs, to provide financial and regulatory support to companies.
