About the Sippo Programme
The Sippo programme, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SEco) and implemented by Swisscontact, supports several countries in developing their export capabilities, particularly in African, Middle Eastern, and North African markets. Specifically, the programme operates in 11 countries with a budget of 19.4 million Swiss francs, approximately 50 million dinars.
Objectives of the Partnership
In Tunisia, this collaboration, which began in 2017, is gaining new momentum. The partnership aims to:
- Improve the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises
- Facilitate their access to foreign markets
- Strengthen the value chains of the sector
Support and Training
The agreement also provides for technical support and training for sector operators to better structure exportable offerings and meet the requirements of international markets.
Signing of the Agreement
The agreement was signed under the auspices of Apia's General Director, Inji Doggui, in the presence of representatives from the programme and agency officials. This agreement reflects a shared desire to consolidate a lasting partnership in support of promoting Tunisian agricultural exports.
