Ministry of Agriculture and Tunisian Solidarity Bank Launch Financing Program for 2024-2025 Harvest Season

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, in collaboration with the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS), has launched a financing program to support the 2024-2025 harvest season for coarse forages.

Joint Circular Signed

To formalize this partnership, a joint circular was signed by the Minister of Agriculture, Ezzeddine Ben Cheikh, and the General Director of BTS, Khalifa Sebaoui**

10 Million Dinar Envelope

The BTS will provide seasonal loans with favorable and relaxed conditions, backed by an envelope of 10 million dinars.

Targeted Financing

This financing program is designed for small producers, breeders, cooperatives, and other professional agricultural structures.

Two Financing Options

The program offers two types of financing:

  • A first option capped at 10,000 dinars for small farmers and breeders
  • A second option that can reach 50,000 dinars for civil societies, cooperatives, and groupings

These loans do not require self-financing or material guarantees, with a fixed interest rate and a maximum repayment period of 12 months.

Application Process

Applicants must submit their files to BTS agencies by June 30, 2025, including adapted technical and administrative documents. Regional technical committees will review applications, with centralized processing and approval within a maximum of 10 working days.

Initial Deployment and Future Expansion

Initially, the program will be deployed in priority governorates, with the possibility of expansion to other regions. The program is open to all active breeders registered across the country.

Regional Agricultural Development Commissions (CRDA)

The CRDA will accompany beneficiaries throughout the process, in coordination with the BTS.
