Ministry of Energy and Mines Launches Study for New Phosphate Transport Project
The Ministry of Energy and Mines has officially launched a study for a new phosphate transport project.
A meeting was held on September 3 to mark the beginning of this study. Representatives from the ministry and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) discussed the next steps of the project.
It is worth recalling that this project aims to reduce the transportation costs of this essential raw material for the Tunisian economy, while preserving the environment.
The project, which is expected to cost around 1.1 billion dinars, plans to use water to transport phosphate. This method would reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
