FABA Literature Prize Celebrates Five Years with Innovative Categories and Digital Platform

To mark its fifth anniversary, the FABA Literature Prize is reinventing itself by introducing new categories to better embrace the diversity of contemporary literary forms and genres. These new distinctions aim to highlight bold works, whether they be novels, poetry, or engaged literature, while encouraging authors to explore innovative themes. In parallel, a dedicated digital platform will be launched to facilitate applications, promote selected works, and create a space for exchange between writers, juries, and the public.

This anniversary edition will rely on strategic collaborations with national and international cultural institutions. Throughout the year, cycles of conferences, writing workshops, and debates will be organized, inviting the public to interact with finalist authors. These events, combining physical and virtual encounters, aim to weave links between cultures and foster collective reflection on current societal issues.

The Foundation will pay tribute to its founder, Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed, by highlighting his intellectual legacy and commitment to culture. Furthermore, this edition will highlight the contribution of women authors to the literary scene, echoing the symbolic date of March 8th. A special selection will showcase texts written by women, exploring stories of freedom, resilience, and emancipation, from both local and universal perspectives.
