BYD Launch Marks the Beginning of Electric Mobility in Tunisia

The prices will be made public on the launch day, where a special guest will be present. Coming directly from the parent company, AD Huang (General Manager BYD Middle East & Africa) will signify the brand's interest in the Tunisian market. "After 8 years of commitment, our partner BYD knows our work on the market. We are among the pioneers of BYD in the world, and we have particularly worked on the development of electric mobility in Tunisia. That's why the parent company has dispatched Mr. AD Huang to be with us during the official launch of BYD electric vehicles," comments Lassaad Mrabet.
According to him, the importance of electric mobility is at the center of Helios Cars' concerns, and he believes that the time is ripe to move forward in this direction, as Tunisian decision-makers are convinced of the merits of this approach. He recalls that the National Agency for Energy Management conducted a study that confirms that the adoption of electric mobility would allow Tunisia to save 30% of its energy, reduce its dependence on hydrocarbon imports, reduce its energy bill (and energy deficit) by 60%, integrate renewable energies into the energy mix, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality in cities, reduce noise pollution, and improve Tunisia's positioning in the technological revolution related to electric mobility.
"The Tunisian state's commitment is constantly being confirmed, particularly with a clear and ambitious strategy for the installation of charging stations across Tunisia, a project to install charging stations in 60 municipalities has already been launched and is being implemented. And this will enable Helios Cars, BYD's partner, to offer Tunisian drivers unparalleled driving experiences, environmentally friendly, technologically advanced, comfortable, and reliable, with an excellent quality-price ratio," he concludes.
Recall that President Saied visited the BYD headquarters on June 1, during his state visit to China from May 28 to June 1, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, to express the state's interest in electric land transportation means that can provide rapid and effective solutions to ensure the right to transportation for Tunisians and to bring new milestones to the country's economic growth.
