International Airport of Enfidha-Hammamet Receives Carbon Accreditation Level 4 for 2024
The International Airports Council (ACI) has awarded the International Airport of Enfidha-Hammamet, operated by TAV Airports Holding, with the Carbon Accreditation Level 4 for 2024, in recognition of its efforts to manage carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
According to a statement released by TAV-Tunisie, this accreditation is a remarkable achievement that demonstrates the airport's commitment to preserving the environment through efficient energy use, reducing CO2 emissions and their impact on the environment, and solidifying its position as a "sustainable airport of the future".
The International Airport of Enfidha-Hammamet had previously obtained the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd levels of carbon accreditation, as well as the 3+ level, in 2013, 2014, 2021, and 2023, respectively.
These accreditations were achieved through various initiatives implemented by the airport, including a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment, the implementation of energy-saving measures through a trigeneration power plant, and active promotion of low-CO2 transportation means.
