OPCVM Confirm Their Title as Financial Product of the Year

With only a month left until the end of the year and the subscription period for the last tranche of the 2024 national loan, OPCVM (Open-Ended Investment Companies) are confirming their title as the financial product of the year.

In November, as we predicted last month, the total assets continued to grow, reaching 7,044 MTND, a historic high in the sector. Bond-based vehicles attracted 168.4 MTND, with a global net asset value of 6,863.3 MTND, also a historic peak. Mixed funds, composed mainly of debt securities, collected 21.7 MTND over the same period, bringing their net asset value to 941.7 MTND. Meanwhile, equity funds slightly decreased by 0.3 MTND, with a total net asset value of 16 MTND.

Since the beginning of the year, the overall growth has reached 1,256.6 MTND, with 1,179.8 MTND coming from bond-based OPCVM and 74.6 MTND from mixed OPCVM.

These figures bode well for the national loan. In 2025, with the pace the Treasury plans to maintain and signs of a steady Direct Rate, managers will have reason to rejoice. We reiterate our advice: if you want to diversify your savings while remaining liquid, it's hard to find a better option in these times.
