Tunisian Athlete Raoua Tlili Shines at World Para Athletics Championships
Tunisian athlete Raoua Tlili made a mark at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, winning the gold medal in the discus throw, F41 category, on Friday morning. With a throw measuring 33.81 meters, she took the top spot ahead of Ecuador's Estefany Lopez Macas and Uzbekistan's Navroza Akhmatova.
This victory is her second medal in the competition, following a bronze in the shot put, and brings the total number of medals for Tunisia to five: two gold, two silver, and one bronze. Among other notable Tunisian performances, Yassine Gharbi won gold in the 400m wheelchair race, while Marwa Brahmi and Yassine Guenichi each took silver in their respective disciplines.
Raoua Tlili has thus confirmed her status as a major figure in Tunisian para-athletics and continues to bring moments of pride to her country on the world stage.
