Tunisia Wraps Up 4th China-Africa Economic and Commercial Expo in Changsha
Tunisia has concluded its participation in the 4th China-Africa Economic and Commercial Expo in Changsha, amidst a context where bilateral trade volume exceeds 9 billion dinars.
This expo, held from June 12 to 15 under the theme "China and Africa, Towards Modernization", enabled Tunisia to promote its most competitive products, particularly in the agro-food and artisanal sectors, to Chinese consumers and investors.
According to data from the Export Promotion Center (Cepex), bilateral trade between Tunisia and China reached 9.2 billion dinars in 2024, compared to 8.6 billion dinars in 2023, representing an 8% growth.
Tunisia's participation in this event is part of a strategy aimed at strengthening Tunisia's presence in the Chinese market, the world's largest consumer market.
Tunisia is banking on promising sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, health, and innovation to attract more Chinese investments.
The expo brought together decision-makers, government representatives, and financial institutions from both regions to explore new financing mechanisms within the framework of a tripartite cooperation "Tunisia-China-Africa", and this, as part of China's "Belt and Road" initiative.
