Tunisian Port of La Goulette Receives New Buses from China

The port of La Goulette welcomed the Chinese ship "Yuan Jiang Kou" today, carrying 134 new buses intended to strengthen the national public transport fleet. This delivery is part of an agreement with China for the acquisition of a total of 461 buses, with subsequent deliveries to be made according to a precise schedule.
According to the Ministry of Transport, these vehicles will be mainly assigned to regional transport companies to improve citizen mobility in all Tunisian governorates and modernize existing services.
This initiative aims not only to reduce pressure on urban transport but also to offer a more comfortable and reliable service to users, responding to a growing demand in several regions of the country. The ministry emphasizes that this first wave of buses marks a concrete step towards modernizing the Tunisian public transport network.
