Russian Ship Arrives in Bizerte with 13,000 Tons of Ammonitrate
A ship carrying 13,000 tons of ammonitrate from Russia arrived in Bizerte on October 1, 2024, according to a commercial port official.
This shipment marks the beginning of the fertilizer import season, which is essential for large-scale crops. It will be followed by another delivery of 70,000 tons, divided among six ships, also from Russia.
To ensure optimal logistical conditions for the unloading and transportation of the cargo, a working meeting was organized, chaired by the Governor of Bizerte, Salem Ben Yaakoub.
It is worth noting that the country is facing increasing difficulties in providing fertilizers and ammonitrate due to social movements in the Gafsa and Gabès mining basins.
These disturbances have led to insufficient production, prompting authorities to intensify imports to meet market demands.
