24th International Pharmacists Forum to Take Place in Tunis from April 30 to May 2, 2025
On Wednesday, January 24, 2025, at a hotel in Tunis, the 24th edition of the International Pharmacists Forum was announced, scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 2, 2025, at the Tunis Convention Center, under the theme "The Contribution of Artificial Intelligence in the Pharmaceutical Sector". This major event will bring together over 30 African countries, more than 50 experts and specialists, over 70 exhibitors, and more than 3,000 visitors.
The forum will offer a series of practical workshops and seminars on the use of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical research and production, as well as discussions on the opportunities and challenges related to the integration of this technology into healthcare systems.
One of the highlights of the forum will be a hackathon that brings together students from different nationalities to collaborate on technological solutions to counterfeiting issues in medicines and health products. In parallel, health technology startups will have the opportunity to present their major innovations and engage in dialogue with public and private sector actors, particularly at the African continental level. This event is part of Tunisia's efforts to position itself as a regional innovation hub in the pharmaceutical industry.
Organized under the auspices of the Inter-Order of African Pharmacists (IOPA) and in collaboration with several strategic partners, this forum is also a unique opportunity for Tunisia to strengthen its international relations beyond the pharmaceutical sector. It will promote the country culturally, economically, touristically, and commercially, consolidating its image on the global stage. The success of this event relies on the commitment of national and international stakeholders, aiming to showcase Tunisia as a leader in pharmaceutical innovation.
