Tunisia Ranks 96th in Chandler Good Government Index

According to the Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI) published by the international Chandler Institute of Governance, Tunisia has been ranked 96th out of 120 evaluated countries, and 15th on the African scale out of 28 evaluated countries.

The Chandler Good Government Index is an annual report that assesses good governance and public policies, measuring the capacities and efficiency of governments worldwide.

According to this index, Tunisia occupies the following positions globally:

  • 98th in leadership and prospective vision
  • 90th for the solidity of laws and public policies
  • 72nd for institutions
  • 106th in financial management
  • 97th for market attractiveness
  • 79th in global influence and reputation
  • 81st for social ascension

Singapore tops the Chandler Good Government Index 2025, followed by Denmark and Norway. Finland ranks fourth, followed by Sweden.

In Africa, Mauritius leads the ranking with a 75th global position, followed by Rwanda (59th) and Botswana (61st). Morocco ranks fourth in Africa with a 75th global position, just ahead of South Africa, ranked 77th.

Singapore has been ranked the top country globally for 2025, ahead of Denmark and Norway. Finland ranks fourth, followed by Sweden.

Regarding Africa, Mauritius (51st globally) leads the ranking, followed by Rwanda (59th globally) and Botswana (61st globally). Morocco (75th globally) ranks fourth, just ahead of South Africa (77th globally).
