International Cooperation in Water Management: Tunisia and Iraq Strengthen Ties
During the 4th International Conference on Water in Baghdad, the Ministry of Agriculture signed a memorandum of understanding with its Iraqi counterpart. This agreement, signed by Abdelmonem Belati and Aoun Diab Abdullah, Ministers of Agriculture and Water Resources respectively, aims to strengthen cooperation in the water sector between Tunisia and Iraq. The two parties seek to find suitable means to follow technological and research developments, exchange experiences in the field, and encourage economic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
In his address, the Tunisian Minister highlighted the importance of this event for the exchange of knowledge and technologies in the face of climate challenges.
Moreover, this congress provided an opportunity to discuss water-related challenges and strengthen partnerships between Arab, regional, and international organizations in this crucial domain.
