Although Tunisia did not make it to the top 10 African countries, it has secured a notable position in the World Happiness Report 2025. However, at the global level, Scandinavian nations dominate the ranking, with Finland retaining its title as the happiest country in the world for the eighth consecutive year.

On the African continent, Mauritius unsurprisingly takes the lead, followed by Libya (79th) and Algeria (84th). The ranking shows that several African countries are vying for close positions, with South Africa (95th), Mozambique (96th), and Gabon (97th) featuring in the top 10 happiest nations on the continent. However, countries like Morocco (112th), Tunisia (113th), and Mauritania (114th) fail to break into the top 10.
Global Ranking
In the global ranking, Scandinavian countries continue to dominate, with Finland occupying the top spot, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. These nations are regularly praised for their public policies focused on social welfare, equality, and quality of life. The report highlights the importance of social infrastructure and solid healthcare systems, which significantly contribute to citizens' satisfaction and happiness.
