5G Services Launch Roadmap Approved in Tunisia

The roadmap for the launch of 5G services in Tunisia has been officially approved today, according to a statement from the Ministry of Communication Technologies. This approval follows a restricted ministerial council chaired by the Head of Government, Ahmed Hachani, dedicated to examining the deployment stages of fifth-generation (5G) technology in Tunisia.

In addition to the launch of these services, a commission has been created to prepare the preliminary steps for the granting of licenses. It is worth noting that the commercial launch of 5G services is scheduled to begin in 2025.

This ambitious project aims to meet the growing needs in terms of speed, responsiveness, and navigation quality. It is also designed to manage the increasing number of users and the volume of data transmitted via the mobile communication network. Furthermore, it integrates modern applications related to the Internet of Things, remote control, automation, as well as virtual and augmented reality applications.
