Tunisian Automotive Association Members Obtain AEO Status

Several member companies of the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA) have obtained the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status during a ceremony held on February 12, 2026, at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Customs.

Ceremony Details

The ceremony, themed "Towards a partnership based on trust, simplification, and excellence," was attended by the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, the Director General of Customs, the President of UTICA, and the President of the Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia (Conect).

Significance of AEO Status

The AEO status, awarded in accordance with the standards of the World Customs Organization (WCO), recognizes companies that comply with regulatory and customs standards and use modern mechanisms to facilitate their international trade exchanges. "The AEO label allows companies to benefit from simplified procedures, priority treatment, and time savings in import-export operations," according to the TAA.
