Kumulus Raises €3.1 Million Funding to Accelerate Deployment of Innovative Atmospheric Water Generation Solutions
The startup Kumulus has officially announced a €3.1 million seed round to accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions for producing drinking water from air. This announcement was made through a press release published on June 2, 2025.
This funding is supported by renowned investors, including Spadel (European mineral water group), Bpifrance, regional funds such as Plus VC, Kalys Ventures, and Flat6Labs, as well as several family offices and entrepreneurs from Europe and North Africa. This fundraising marks a key milestone in Kumulus' ambition to make water more sustainable and less dependent on plastic or heavy infrastructure.
With this new funding, Kumulus expects to:
- Launch a new high-capacity range of atmospheric water generators called Kumulus Boks;
- Strengthen its presence in existing markets in Spain, and Tunisia;
- Establish itself in Saudi Arabia, where the need for sustainable water solutions is urgently needed.
Founded with the vision of democratizing access to decentralized, clean water production, Kumulus develops machines capable of harnessing ambient humidity to transform it into drinking water. A promising technology in a global context of increasing water stress.
"Let's keep building a future where access to drinking water doesn't depend on plastic or pipes," the team highlighted in their press release.
