Franco-Tunisian Startup Thunder Code Raises $9 Million to Revolutionize Software Testing
Thunder Code, a Franco-Tunisian startup founded by Karim Jouini and Jihed Othmani, has just finalized a $9 million funding round to radically transform the software testing domain. This operation, one of the most significant in the testing sector, was led by Silicon Badia, with the participation of Janngo.africa, Titan Seed Fund, MEDIN Fund Management, as well as renowned business angels such as Roxanne Varza (Station F), Karim Beguir (InstaDeep), and Guillaume Amblard, a specialized artificial intelligence investor.
After the success of Expensya, sold in 2023 to Medius, the serial entrepreneurs are unveiling their new technological gem: a software quality assurance (QA) platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to automate and simplify large-scale testing.
With this capital injection, Thunder Code aims to revolutionize Quality Assurance (QA) thanks to a new generation of AI-powered tools. Its ambition is to build a fully autonomous testing platform capable of self-repairing, executing commands in natural language, and reducing testing cycles by 90%.
"This is not just a funding round, it's the starting point of a new era for software testing," the startup affirms in a statement. Through a B2B SaaS model, the startup wants to provide a concrete response to a major challenge faced by tech companies: maintaining a high level of quality while accelerating development cycles.
