Tunisian Handling and Stevedoring Company (STAM) Boosts Capacity with New Cranes

The Tunisian Handling and Stevedoring Company (STAM) has enhanced its capabilities by taking delivery of three new cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 15 tons.

This acquisition is part of its 2023 investment plan, with a total budget of 25 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd) already mobilized. According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport on Friday, September 27, additional investments estimated at 14Mtnd are still underway.

For 2024, STAM plans to allocate a budget of 52Mtnd for the acquisition of new equipment. These investments aim to improve the availability of materials, optimize the profitability of handling and unloading operations in Tunisian commercial ports, and thus strengthen the quality of services offered.
