Tunisian Email Company (Sotemail) Releases Q3 2024 Activity Indicators
Sotemail has published its activity indicators for the third quarter of 2024.
As of September 30, 2024, Sotemail's global turnover stood at 28,079 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), marking a 35% decrease compared to the same period in 2023.
This contraction is largely explained by the replacement of one of the production furnaces, which inevitably impacted production capacity, as well as a very challenging economic environment. The latter is characterized by a weakness in demand in key sectors such as tourist renovation, real estate promotion, and residential renovations, further exacerbated by the flooding of the market with products from the parallel market, often offered at very competitive prices.
Production, meanwhile, recorded a 45% drop compared to the same period of the previous year.
