La Société de Services des Huileries specializes in the collection, transportation, sorting, treatment, recycling, and valorization of oil mill waste. Given the excellent olive oil season in the previous and current campaigns, the production of margines and grignons is expected to surge, with the potential to produce hundreds of cubic meters of margines per day. This dynamic will guarantee a very interesting turnover during the current campaign. Furthermore, oil mills are increasingly required to demonstrate ecological waste management through approved companies.
Agricultural Valorization and Future Prospects
The potential for agricultural valorization is significant, with the production of high-quality compost in high demand by the agricultural sector. Additionally, after stabilization and treatment, margines can be used as irrigation water within approved programs. Unfortunately, the company does not currently have a vehicle fleet that utilizes biogas, but it is possible to extract purified biomethane. This represents a promising medium- and long-term perspective.
