Tunisia Deploys Advanced Thermoplastic Technology for Road Signaling
Zouhair Azouzi, Regional Director of Equipment and Housing, announced on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, during a national radio broadcast, the deployment of thermoplastic technology for road signaling in Tunisia for the first time. This process, currently being applied on Radial Road X in Tunis, offers a durability of at least four years, compared to traditional methods that require renewal every three months.
Azouzi also specified that this technology will be gradually extended to other strategic axes, including the southern peripheral roads of Tunis, which are currently under construction. A nationwide rollout is envisioned, in consultation with relevant authorities, to ensure more durable and high-performing road infrastructure across the country.
Azouzi emphasized that Radial Road X, used daily by over 150,000 vehicles, requires reliable signaling to guarantee user safety. He also reassured about the progress of the southern peripheral road works in Tunis, stating that teams are meeting deadlines and that the construction sites will be completed on time.
