MAE Insurance Proudly Announces the First Edition of "MutualHack"
MAE Insurance is proud to announce the first edition of its hackathon, "MutualHack", which took place at The Dot on May 3-4, 2024, and brought together 50 students from various regions of Tunisia.
MutualHack is an ambitious initiative aimed at supporting social entrepreneurship and innovation among students. This event marks a crucial step in our commitment to youth and our desire to promote the entrepreneurial spirit.
The participating students had the main objective of proposing innovative solutions to serve the social and solidarity economy, focusing on the following themes:
- Inclusion of rural women
- Access to quality education
- Environmental protection in the insurance sector
MutualHack by MAE Insurance also aims to offer participants an enriching experience, including workshops led by experts, mentoring sessions, and networking opportunities with professionals in the sector.
Information sessions were organized in 10 Tunisian regions, including Nabeul, Sfax, Sousse, Le Kef, Tozeur, Beja, and others. The MutualHack event brought together 50 students, divided into 10 teams. Three prizes were awarded to the three groups of students who proposed the best solutions.
The hackathon also aims to offer participants an enriching experience, including workshops led by experts, mentoring sessions, and networking opportunities with professionals in the sector.
To give a sustainable dimension to this program, MAE Insurance, the first social and solidarity financial institution in Tunisia, will offer a three-month accompaniment program to the winning teams to develop and accelerate their projects.
"This initiative, which is part of MAE Insurance's CSR strategy and is in line with our DNA as an innovative and committed mutual insurance company, aims to actively support young people and cultivate an environment conducive to social innovation," said Mr. Lassaad Zarrouk, General Manager of MAE Insurance.
