Minister of Communication Technologies Meets with Congolese Counterpart to Strengthen Cooperation

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Sofiene Hemissi, the Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies, met with Augustin Kibassa Maliba, the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and New Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of the Congo, and his delegation, during their working visit to Tunisia.

The exchange highlighted the long-standing cooperative relations between the two countries in the field of information and communication technologies and confirmed their willingness to strengthen them, particularly in the areas of:

  • Creating technological hubs
  • Developing skills
  • Improving postal services
  • Fostering closer ties between private enterprises of both nations

Hemissi presented an overview of the communication technology sector in Tunisia and outlined potential areas of cooperation.

Meanwhile, Salomon Mwendanga Musengo, the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Tunisia, emphasized the importance of the digital sector in his country, expressing the desire to leverage Tunisia's experience, particularly in developing technological hubs and communication infrastructure. He assured that all efforts would be made to intensify Tunisian-Congolese cooperation and generate new investment opportunities.
