CONECT Participates in Public-Private Dialogue on Clusters in Tunisia

CONECT (Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises) took part in a roundtable discussion organized by Anima at a hotel in Tunis on December 16, 2024, focusing on public-private dialogue in favor of clusters and their projects in Tunisia. This event brought together top public and private sector actors to reflect on concrete solutions to boost economic clusters and strengthen their contribution to the national economy.

A Key Role for CONECT

As a representative organization of Tunisian businesses, CONECT plays a central role in this dialogue, defending the interests of the private sector and proposing concrete solutions to address the challenges faced by clusters.

"Clusters represent a genuine opportunity to revitalize the Tunisian economy. They enable the creation of synergies between businesses, research centers, and public institutions. We must work hand in hand to establish a legal and organizational framework that will foster their development and competitiveness internationally," said Aslan Berjeb, President of CONECT.

Strengthened Public-Private Partnership

The roundtable discussion allowed CONECT to engage directly with representatives from the Ministries of Industry, Economy, and Higher Education, as well as other stakeholders such as technopoles, Creative Tunisia, and research centers.

Chekib Ben Mustafa, a member of CONECT's executive board, emphasized the need for a pragmatic approach: "It is crucial to implement collaborative projects, particularly in research and development, to stimulate innovation and respond to the specific needs of strategic sectors. CONECT is ready to support these initiatives by mobilizing the private sector and strengthening ties with public decision-makers."

CONECT Reiterates its Commitment to Supporting Cluster Development

CONECT reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of clusters, encouraging collaborative initiatives, facilitating synergies, and advocating for necessary reforms within Tunisia's economic ecosystems.
