Egypt Revives Its Automotive Industry with Incentive Policies and National Support Fund
After a slowdown, Egypt is relaunching its automotive industry thanks to incentive policies and a national support fund.
The country has recently inaugurated a production plant dedicated to Exeed SUVs, a Chinese brand and subsidiary of Chery. This site, designed to produce Exeed RX and VX models, complements an already strong sector featuring prominent players like Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai, among others.
With the ambition of becoming one of the top three African leaders in the automotive industry, Egypt is positioning itself alongside Morocco and South Africa.
Local factories have achieved a 50% integration rate, a sign of strengthened national capacities.
Meanwhile, the country is developing the Nasr E70, an electric vehicle designed for regional markets, illustrating its commitment to reconciling innovation and industrial sovereignty.
This dynamic could enable Egypt to become a strategic hub for automotive production and export in Africa.
