Tunisian Solidarity Bank, Livestock Office, and Animal Feed Office Sign Partnership Agreement
The Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS), the Livestock Office, and the Animal Feed Office signed a partnership and cooperation agreement on Friday, April 26, 2024, to create a new financing line worth 10 million dinars. This initiative aims to support small livestock breeders in acquiring coarse animal feed.
Key Features of the Agreement
According to the BTS's press release, these loans will be granted without collateral, with facilitated conditions and simplified financing procedures. The financing ceiling will reach 10,000 dinars for small breeders and 100,000 dinars for private companies, agricultural service cooperatives, and agricultural development groups active in livestock farming.
How the Partnership Will Work
The National Animal Feed Office will provide beneficiaries with their coarse animal feed needs through supply vouchers issued by the BTS. This aims to help them build reserve stocks of this material and mitigate the consequences of animal feed shortages, particularly for small breeders operating individually or within professional structures.
