European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Launches Call for Applications for Climate Innovation Program
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is launching a call for applications for its technical assistance program dedicated to innovation in the fight against climate change. This program, funded by the Netherlands, is part of the High Impact Partnership for Climate Action (Hipca).
Objective
The main objective of this call is to promote collaboration between businesses and research and development experts. The initiative aims to experiment, evaluate the feasibility, and bring to life innovative, well-developed ideas in this field.
Grants
The grants, which can reach up to €20,000, are intended to cover the necessary R&D expenses for transforming existing products.
Eligibility
The program is open to all sectors, except those that do not align with the EBRD's policies. This includes banking services, military products or services, gambling, alcohol, and tobacco.
Focus Areas
This fund is dedicated to projects that address climate change adaptation, mitigation strategies, and biodiversity conservation efforts.
Scope
The program also covers feasibility studies, software development, prototyping, and testing.
