Central Bank of Tunisia's Financial Statements Confirmed Regular and Sincere for 2024

The auditors have confirmed the regularity and sincerity of the Central Bank of Tunisia's (BCT) financial statements for the 2024 fiscal year. According to their report, the BCT's net balance sheet totals 54,428 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd) and its equity capital stands at 2,932 Mtnd.

The bank's profit for the fiscal year amounts to 1,363 Mtnd. In accordance with Law No. 2016-35 on the BCT's statutes, this amount has been distributed as follows: 1,102 Mtnd have been paid to the State, while 196 Mtnd have been allocated to a special reserve aimed at strengthening the bank's equity capital. This reserve includes 66 Mtnd related to unreleased participations and 130 Mtnd to consolidate financial resilience. Additionally, 60 Mtnd have been allocated to a construction reserve and 5 Mtnd to the social fund.

In their opinion, the auditors, represented by FMBZ KPMG Tunisie and Cabinet C.M.C, have estimated that the financial statements faithfully reflect the financial situation of the institution and the result of its operations, in compliance with Tunisian accounting standards and the specificities of the BCT's activity.
