TotalEnergies Launches 4th Special Edition of Startupper Challenge in Honor of its Centenary
In celebration of its centenary in March 2024, TotalEnergies is proud to announce the return of the 4th special edition of the Startupper Challenge. This edition focuses on Africa as part of the company's strategy, with a strong emphasis on gender equality.
A Pan-African Competition
"This edition will feature the participation of 32 countries," declared Mutaz Nazzal, General Manager of TotalEnergies Marketing Tunisia. The competition is open to young Tunisian entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35, aiming to support local social fabric and projects focused on social and environmental responsibility.
Objective
As stated by Sihem Ben Abdessamad, Marketing Communication and CSR Manager, "The goal is not only to promote projects related to the sector developed by the company, but also to strengthen the implementation of locally responsible social and environmental projects."
Call for Projects
The call for projects is open from April 30 to June 18 and is based on four evaluation criteria:
- Sustainable development
- Innovative character
- Feasibility
- Development potential
- Gender equality principle
Awards and Prizes
Three categories of prizes will be awarded: Innov'up, Cycle'up, and Power'up, with around 100 winners selected in reference to TotalEnergies' centenary.
Benefits for Winners
Winners will not only receive a financial prize of €25,000 but also benefit from media visibility before and after the selection, as well as personalized support.
