Joint Innovation Facility Extends Deadline for Call for Interest
The Joint Innovation Facility (JIF) has announced an extension of the deadline for its call for interest, giving African innovators more time to submit their projects. Applications can now be submitted until September 15, 2025, at 23:59 CEST (September 16, 2025, at 00:59 EAT).
The program offers catalytic funding ranging from €100,000 to €250,000 for consortia led by African actors, in partnership with an organization based in Africa or Europe. Projects must develop digital climate solutions in areas such as blue technologies, energy, smart mobility, and smart cities.
To be eligible, consortia must present a commercially viable business model, integrate at least 30% of women in their leadership, and propose solutions contributing to climate resilience. In addition to funding, beneficiaries will have access to support and mentorship to accelerate the scaling of their innovations.
