Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic Announces Prices and Payment Terms for 2024-2025 Cereal Harvest

The Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) has recently announced the prices and payment terms for the management of cereals for the 2024-2025 harvest in Tunisia.

Base Prices for Cereals

The base price for healthy cereals from the 2024 harvest has been set at:

  • 90 TND/q for durum wheat
  • 70 TND/q for soft wheat
  • A intervention price of 55 TND/q for barley and triticale, although their sale remains free, applicable to acquisitions by collectors and stockers.

Incentives for Rapid Delivery

To encourage rapid deliveries, prompt delivery premiums have been established:

  • Cereals delivered before August 31, 2024, will benefit from:
    • 40 TND/q for durum wheat
    • 30 TND/q for soft wheat
  • Barley and triticale deliveries made before July 10, 2024, will benefit from 25 TND/q.
  • An additional incentive premium of 10 TND/q is also provided for wheat and barley delivered within these same deadlines.

Exchange of Wheat for Certified Seeds

Exchanges of durum and soft wheat for certified seeds are also eligible for these premiums until December 31, 2024, under certain conditions.

Storage Premiums

A monthly premium has been allocated for the maintenance and conservation of cereals:

  • 1,539 TND/q for durum wheat
  • 1,243 TND/q for soft wheat
  • 1,086 TND/q for barley and triticale Collectors of seeds must also contribute to this fund by paying:
  • 9,238 TND/q for durum wheat
  • 7,459 TND/q for soft wheat
  • 6,517 TND/q for barley and triticale

Payment Terms

The storage premium is paid monthly upon presentation of documents to be submitted before the 15th of the following month.
