Minister Stresses Need to Launch Urban Rehabilitation Projects in Jendouba
On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, during a visit to Jendouba, the Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari, emphasized the need to launch the execution of all urban rehabilitation projects programmed for the governorate starting from the second half of this year.
In this context, the Minister visited the rehabilitation site of the Zahoua-Aziz neighborhood in the municipality of Jendouba, accompanied by the Governor of the region, the CEO of the Agency for Urban Rehabilitation and Renovation (ARRU), as well as several local deputies and central and regional officials.
The visited project, which is part of the second generation of the national program for the rehabilitation and integration of popular neighborhoods, currently has a completion rate of 70%. It includes road paving, the installation of wastewater and rainwater drainage networks, the setup of a potable water network and public lighting, as well as the improvement of 700 dwellings in the neighborhood.
The Minister highlighted the importance of accelerating the pace of work to improve the quality of life of residents and create a healthy residential environment thanks to modernized infrastructure and reinforced basic services.
Finally, this visit was an opportunity for Salah Zouari to listen to the concerns of residents, reaffirming the importance of their involvement in project planning to truly respond to their needs.
