Major Breakthrough in Bilateral Relations between Tunisia and Italy
During the working visit to Rome of Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti, a significant advancement was made in the bilateral relations between Tunisia and Italy. Following a working session with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, a €400 million package was announced to support various strategic projects in Tunisia from 2025 to 2027.
This sum, allocated within the framework of bilateral cooperation, will largely be dedicated to financing the "TANIT" project, an ambitious strategic partnership aimed at strengthening food security in Tunisia.
Furthermore, a bilateral agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licenses was also signed. This agreement will simplify administrative procedures for citizens of both nations, particularly for Tunisians residing in Italy, allowing them to exchange their licenses without having to retake an exam.
