Islem Rekik Receives Tunisian AI Award for Outstanding Contributions to Artificial Intelligence

Islem Rekik, a researcher at Imperial College Computing & I-X, has been awarded the prestigious Tunisian AI Award by the Tunisian AI Society.

This award aims to recognize Tunisian researchers whose contributions to the field of artificial intelligence have a significant impact, both in Tunisia and internationally.

Currently an Associate Professor at Imperial College London, Rekik is also the founder and director of the BASIRA Lab (Brain And Signal Research & Analysis), a laboratory dedicated to developing advanced machine learning-based methods for analyzing large neuroimaging and biomedical signal datasets. Her research focuses on improving our understanding of brain development and aging, both in healthy and pathological contexts.
