Tunisia Attracts 2125.9 M TND in Foreign Investments in First 9 Months of 2024, Up 14.4% from 2023

According to figures from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), Tunisia has attracted 2125.9 million Tunisian dinars (M TND) in foreign investments during the first nine months of 2024, marking a 14.4% increase compared to 1858 M TND in 2023.

Foreign direct investments (FDI) have seen a significant 21.5% growth, reaching 2092.3 M TND, up from 1726.6 M TND in 2023. This momentum is driven by strategic projects in renewable energy and digital transition.

Two major foreign companies have also bolstered the agricultural sector, investing in advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, resulting in a spectacular 237% increase in agricultural investments, from 5.7 M TND in 2023 to 19.2 M TND.

Non-energy investments totaled 1558.2 M TND, creating 9906 direct jobs.

Tunisia is now aiming to attract 2400 M TND in foreign investments by the end of 2024 and ambitions to reach 3400 M TND in 2025.

Notably, France remains the leading investor, with 464.9 M TND, followed by Germany, with 241.9 M TND.
